I've made the same points you do (plus a few more), and if I thought he was going to win, I might make them louder. :) But to his defense, they were some of the earliest votes he made, and he has changed his official positions since then. He has also campaigned alongside someone with enough national experience to educate him better. He can be a good voice to have in this campaign. He excites people, he connects to some people. Maybe he will draw them to the party.
