45. The reason I oppose this bill is BECAUSE I give a shit.
You are selling the lipstick and ignoring the PIG.

YES. Some people would be helped,
but at a Pyrrhic cost.

The PIG:
Individual Mandates with NO Public Option is the FOUNDATION of The Bill.
It permanently enshrines the For Profit Health Insurance Industry as the gateway to Health Care in America.
No future "adjustments" will make THIS FOUNDATION better.
It can't be "fixed later".

For context, compare THIS bill to Health Care in ANY civilized country in The WORLD.
"A Uniquely American Solution"....INDEED.

The Blood Bath:
LESS than 35% of ALL Americans support Mandates without a Public Option.
This will NOT campaign well against Republicans who WILL simply say,
"YEP! We opposed it" when the low information voters are forced to start paying The Bills.

ANY and ALL "regulation" can and will be quickly de-regulated (or simply not enforced).

I fully support the Health Care Reform Obama & The Democratic Party campaigned on:
A viable and competitive Public Option funded by raising taxes on those who make over $200,000/year.

I fully oppose THIS Republican Plan that has been substituted for the one they campaigned on.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone
