we wished that the greedy corporate run national federal government would be vanquished, and peace, love, and total democracy would come to the USA. It was unrealistic and overly ambitious.

It's a Hell of a job. He is doing what he feels is the best he can do. He compromises to bring consensus. He does not bulldoze or go in guns blazing. This is not who he is or has ever been. He has a fine vision of our country and he will work tirelessly to get us there.

We needed more, yet we must do the best with who we got. Democracy must be directed and run by us. He asked for our hands and feet to turn things around. Have given enough support since his election? I stepped back and watched. I think most all of us did and we are still watching will one man pulls all the weight. I think we should at least not bite at his heels when we knew him and gave him the job.

Yet in a desperate country revved up by a power thirsty right,we find his negotiations, which we needed so badly with Bush, are frustrating us.

I think we should get real and get more progressive actors in this game, while applauding the work that Obama has done. He is holding the country together with his ability to respond civilly to the outlandish forces against him. We must accept his leadership and work with him now. It will pay off if we help using our heads and hands, and getting our feet on the ground.
