It's just that the scale of the disaster in Haiti is so incredibly large that there is no such thing as fast enough or responsive enough, especially with the lack of usable infrastructure in Haiti.

The military, the NGOs, the government here and other governments around the world are doing the best they can, but they just can't save everyone. The disaster's too big.
