123. MASSACHUSETTS
is in play because the Democrats have sold out their base to triangulating Clintonistas, Blue Dogs and DLCers. If Kennedy's senate seat goes to a Republican, it will be because the people of Massachusetts voted that way. I doubt the Republicans could ever rig an election victory there. Personally, I hope the Dem. wins, but the message for the national party should be crystal clear: Party loyalty is conditional and national.
