Witness progressive Diane Benson in Alaska, who the DCCC wouldn't give a penny to in 2006. She could have beaten Don Young that year, I am sure, if she had had just a little financial support. Even so she got 40% of the vote against Young, while spending 8% of the amount of money he did.

Then in 2008 the DCCC ran Rahm's candidate against her in the primary, gave him lots of financial support, and he still lost by about the same margin.

The DCCC is useless.
