daffeine free diet coke is EXCELLENT for hydration. caffeine is a diuretic, so obviously, any drink with caffeine is suboptimal

when i am cutting fat and water to make weight for comps, i actually seek out caffeine, because it helps me shed water

AFTER weigh-in i will rehydrate primarily with pedialyte, which is a sugar/electrolyte combo. i will also use defizzed caffeine free coke.


caffeine enhances performance, as does ephedrine, but excessive amounts of the former, and any amount of the latter will result in a failed drug test. they can be used OUT OF COMP, but not within hours of competition
