certainly no worse than Robert Plant or Bono or Garth Brooks, all popular singers that I can barely stand to listen to. In fact, Taylor is not my idea of a good vocalist, but the song was still a huge hit.

I don't mean to say that it is just song choice, but when a huge hit song goes against an obscure song, it does not totally surprise me when the huge hit wins. Listening to the other two performers, I am not wowed by their talent, I am turned off by the song and by the genre. I think Drew would have won with a better song selection. As it stood, he was in a race where he gave his opponent a fifty yard head start. Give me a fifty yard head start against any world class sprinter and I will win a 100 yard dash.
