DU mindset of the day, it must be bad. Woodstock the myth, though, may not be the Woodstock of reality.

Having been drafted at the time, and busily spending my time saving the world for democracy by drinking real beer and worrying about being sent to Viet Nam, I missed Woodstock, as I missed Monterey and Isle of Man.

Knowing many who were there, though, it seems it was a time of mud, no bathrooms, bad acid and worse sex (unless you got out of the mud). Good music, though, if you didn't get the bad acid.

Monterey was more groundbreaking, and Isle of Man might have been the culmination of it all.
