It was very good - not as heavy or as fatty as beef. Morally, I see no difference between eating cows and horses: it's also just as immoral to steal someone's cow and slaughter it as to steal someone's horse.

Buying meat out of the back of a truck sounds iffy to me. Now I did buy some fish out of the back of a truck this morning at the farmers' market, but those people have been showing up in the same spot every week for years, have an actual address where they can be found, are registered with the market, and treat their products properly.
