The fact is it is a polemic that uses the death of a soldier to fuel emotions. Ignoring Senator Kerry for a moment, the comments also dismiss Kennedy's position as pretending to listen. The fact is I think both men did listen and both men cared. The "convoluted explanation" likely were in both cases honest attempts to explain that the answer is not the simple answer the person longed to hear. The fact was that neither Senator had the power to end the war. As this was written in 2006 or 2007, Kerry had already led the effort to set a deadline and get out. He was vilified by many powerful people in his party for doing it - and Kennedy was one who firmly backed him. The fact is ONLY the President can really end a war.

Then with no backup in terms of either logic or proof, the writer leaps from the Senators inability to end the war to saying they are controlled by the same people. That is a jump about the size of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a piece of garbage attacking 2 people clearly on our side.
