Just out of curiosity, what does the live voice tell you? That the Empress shares your concern? That seems to be the standard response of most if not all of them. They should just put it on voice mail.
"The Senator/Congressman/Congresswoman shares your concern. Thank you for calling. Have a nice day."
Followed by "this voice mail box is full" of course. Might help with the deficit. Everyone could let a staffer or two go since they wouldn't have to answer the phones anymore.
