I walked into an unaffiliated grocery story today, and

as I stood in line ready to buy my veggies, potato and NYT, I listened to a couple of old biddies in front.

"I don't quite understand it all, but that Gonzales man seems to be in trouble. I don't like liars."
"Um humm. He should quit. You can't trust any of them anymore.
"I just hope we get our troops out. My son-in-law's brother's son is in Baghdad. A nice boy. He wrote that things are a lot worse than what we see."
"You know, I am embarrassed by how I voted. I never thought Bush would be so bad."


not quite verbatim, I can't transcribe old biddie-talk that quickly, but the sentiment was clear.
