The 2000 selection was a bucket of ice-water in my face regarding how 'democratic' this country really is. Before the 2004 election, I became an official party member and was looking for a good source to counter emails sent around by a fundie coworker. DU was the best I found and of course the Top Ten hooked me like a large mouth bass. The information here, and not just on politics, has been invaluable even to the point of saving real money with financial and family decisions.

Thank-you everyone... I feel like such a minor contributor amid such intellectual giants, but someday maybe I can fire off something of value to someone else.
