60. Gas cars are antiquated
"Free market" capitalism is antiquated. CEO gods are the senile relics of another era. To say Demint is a Jurassic holdover out of place is putting it charitably.

The first reactions of a troubled capitalist system when things go wrong because of their out of control insane criminality is to throw people out of homes and jobs and terrorize and divide the populace immediately so no one will gang up on the weakness of the gods. Nothing modern about that. It is the perennial response of greed and power to threat.

Eventually the Postal Unions will receive the same treatment and we certainly have not struck or menaced the Grand Mismanagement with anything except law and fairness and beating their incompetent attempts at bad faith negotiations with mediation. The brave new world Demint is referring to in our case will be a fractured and privatized postal dis-Service staffed by abused low paid non-union workers for a truly mangled operation NO private corporation(trust me) is prepared to run well or at any profit.

But to get back to technology(as with Global Warming) the real issue of modernity after the disgusting put down of debased Mammon gets us back to first base again, the future is electric cars and digitalized communications. Those are problems enough for workers to have to cope with in the inevitable progress of things. Being dogged by carrion Tyrannosaurus Demint during every opportune crisis to harvest our blood is an old added attraction of the good old past.
