29. All Florida schools have School Resource Officers now
The definition of a School Resource Officer encompasses three major components of his/her job- that of law enforcement, counseling and education, which is a pro-active approach to law enforcement through positive role modeling. These three components allow the SRO to promote positive relations between youth and law enforcement which encourages school safety and deters juvenile delinquency.
