:hi:

Trotted myself on down to the polls Wednesday before last, actually, right after getting an email from our HR VP that read in part:

(ahem)

"It is extremely important that you know there are many important federal and state core beliefs at stake in this election. Fundamentally, the competitiveness and long-term viability of multi-national corporations (like -company name deleted-) can be damaged by policies made by the leaders in the State and Federal government." (emphasis-mine.)

Of course, they weren't very specific about which candidate would be the best pick for a "multi-national corporation". So I thought about the fact that the company had been absolutely forced to lay me off five years ago and ship my job overseas. I'm sure they didn't want to lay me off (only to let me stay after I applied for a lower-level job that meant taking a huge pay cut). It's just that the mean old government made them do it. And then I thought about which candidate would help out that poor, defenseless corporation and never use those horrible, horrible tax credits ever again as a means of making my company lay off their stateside employees.
With this in mind I made my selection.

I do so hope I didn't disappoint my beloved employer in my choice.
