10. Since the Dem with its former Reaganites is going to govern to the center-right,
And we are already seeing that shift to the right here,

I think it would be healthy to use this as an opportunity
to have a four-party system like REAL (not fake) democracies.

The test will be to see what Obama does on:

* Public financing of elections -- to restore campaign finance reform
to the Democratic party platform and prevent any more $500 million campaigns, regardless of who outspent who and what percentage of $200 contributions came from the upper-upper middle class.

* Instant runoff voting.

* Legislation against machine fraud.

* Legislation against poll tests (aside from the residency requirement) and ID tracking of citizens vs. a legislated underclass of non-citizens.

* Continuing to tear down public housing in New Orleans (a useful bellwether).

* Continuing to defund mass transit (subways!) and build roads instead, using the Pickens Plan and ignore peak oil entirely.
