exercises with Army or Marines in conjunction with local law enforcement. There have been videos posted of these exercises but I can't reference the sites right now.

Apparently they are practicing sealing off residential neighborhoods and small communities. Some of the residents have been pretty unhappy about this but it hasn't made the local or national news, that I'm aware of.

You have to remember that eastern North Carolina is the home of Fort Bragg (Army), Pope Air Force Base, Camp LeJeune (Marines), Seymour-Johnson AFB, Cherry Point Marine Air Base AND NOW BlackWater in Moyock.

We Tarheels are very patriotic and supportive of our military folks so we would probably be the last in the country to complain about training of any kind, no matter how scary and fascistic it might be.
