It's a good read, and a good reminder of how positive and powerful a force in history Labor has been: fighting fascism, totalitarianism, communism, racism, sexism, and oppression.

What are some simple things people can do, today, to help restore Labor from the political slump it's in in this country?

1) Volunteer for the Obama campaign
2) Donate money to the Obama campaign
3) Organize your coworkers
4) Whenever possible buy Union products
5) Don't let false stereotypes about unions go unquestioned (but be honest and don't deny that Labor has been corrupt at some points like every other institution)

So, na zdrowie to Solidarity, and let's try to get Labor back where it belongs: in the streets, in our hearts, and protecting our rights.
