I spend less time here now, but for the opposite reason the OP states. The negativity is really depressing.

Some people seem to have an inability to look at the big picture - the fact that Obama has to do some things to win the election - the reality of politics.

Some people never wanted him in the first place, and seem to have stayed to bash the nominee.

This is the most important election in my lifetime and I don't get it. The choice is clear. 4 more years of Bush politics, or a chance for a new start with Obama. When I look at the past 7& years, to me it's a no-brainer, as it should be to any Democrat. I don't like the Fisa vote, I don't particularly like pandering, but I understand politics a little, and the most important thing is for Obama to get elected. After that happens, I'll breathe more freely, and criticize if necessary.

Have people forgotten what's at stake in this election?
