5. When some around here dismiss 'conspiracies' by saying secrecy would be hard to maintain...
I wonder if they miss all the news of people with the same area of expertise who get offed around the globe, all about the same time. Seems likely projects can get broken down, with different teams working on parts. When a part gets done, off the worker scientists and things are easy to keep secret.
