but ingestion of hard-boiled eggs and beer is off my menu forever. When I was but a lad in the submarine service, I took shore leave in Dunoon, Scotland, and did imbibe many a pint of grog, interspersed with half-a-dozen pickled eggs over the course of the evening. The next morning at quarters, I did vent to the atmosphere a voluminous cloud of the sulphuric variety that nearly wiped out a score of my crewmates - in the open air, mind ye!
