26. That's not the building boom...
...that I'm a part of. I don't even know the last time I went to midtown. I don't think I've been above 23rd street in 2 years. I'm part of the building boom in Brooklyn and Queens, where it's much smaller scale. Except for the Ratner fiasco. And a lot of the small developers in the outer boroughs are about to get screwed by the mortgage crisis. Whatever.

The point is - PEOPLE WANT TO COME LIVE IN NEW YORK!

We don't cower in fear here. We know that we are just about everybody's favorite target, including our own government. But we LIVE! Many Americans in paranoid shit-hole boondocks live in fear that they are gonna get blown up, when nobody gives a shit about them. They are fodder and suckers, and they think that Osama is coming to get them, and that GWB is the only thing keeping them alive. It would be laughable if it weren't both so sad and so frightening.

In New York, we eat, we drink, we laugh, we fuck, we play music, we have a good time. For tomorrow we may die? And so it goes...
