My 14yr old has been working on his homework for the last hour.

His math is really improving- but he has a hard time staying focused-

He asked how many days * has been in office.

I searched around and came up with the total of 2447-
He asked how many 'soldiers' have died in Afghanistan and Iraq so far.

In Afghanistan there have been 444 wtd.
In Iraq there have been 3806 wtd.

for a total of 4250

He was quiet for a while writing and just a few minutes ago he said to me-

"for every single day that bush has been 'president' more than one soldier has died,
actually, it's almost 2 a day,
to be 'exack', since Jan. 2001, 1.7368205 soldiers have died each day just because bush decided to go to war-".

Not assigned math- but figures that have grim importance to him.

This doesn't represent the real totals- it doesn't include the wounded- the Iraqi's and Afghani's-

This is based solely on the 'military statistics'-

kind of a sobering legacy.

I'm ....glad... he is paying attention-
