Edited on Fri Sep-28-07 06:07 PM by Concerned GA Voter
Interesting, looks like they have been cleaning up on "security" technologies for aircraft since as early as (surprise) 2003:

SkyWay Communications Holding Corp. (OTCBB:SWYC) announced today that its merger partner, Sky Way Aircraft, Inc., will be demonstrating its new in-flight communications technology in Washington DC.

Sky Way Aircraft, Inc., a Clearwater, FL company developing a unique ground to in-flight aircraft communications network that will facilitate homeland security and in-flight entertainment services, will be demonstrating their aircraft anti-terrorism communications technology at the U.S. Capital, House Rayburn Office Building, Room 2325, C St., S.W., Washington, DC from 5:00-7:00PM on May 8th, 2003. This is an exclusive demonstration for Members of Congress, Congressional Staff, and the Homeland Security Administration and will highlight Sky Way Aircraft's network's abilities to enable in-flight surveillance and monitoring services of the internal areas of the aircraft including the cockpit and general cabin spaces and assist in allowing real-time monitoring services by various law enforcement agencies at selected locations throughout the U.S.

About Sky Way Aircraft, Inc.

Sky Way Aircraft, Inc. is a Clearwater, Florida based company that is developing a unique ground to air in-flight aircraft communication network that it anticipates will facilitate homeland security and in-flight entertainment. Sky Way Aircraft is focused on bringing to the market a network supporting aircraft-related service including anti-terrorism support, real time in-flight surveillance and monitoring, WIFI access to the Internet, telephone service and enhanced entertainment service for commercial and private aircraft throughout the United States. Based on the final upgrading of a previous airborne telephone and communications network, Sky Way Aircraft intends to provide broadband connectivity between the ground and in-flight aircraft throughout the U.S. using technology that provides a broadband high-speed data transmission. Sky Way Aircraft intends to be the communications solution for commercial and private aircraft owners wanting real time access to on-board security systems, aircraft health and welfare monitoring, avionics operations and for passengers wanting real time high-speed access to the internet. Their network will enable applications that can personalize the in-flight entertainment experience, provide real time access to flight management avionics with long-term data storage and also support for ground monitoring of in-flight surveillance systems that are being designed with the goal of enhancing current airline security standards.

On April 23, 2003, Sky Way Communications Holding Corp. announced that it had signed a letter of intent to merge with Sky Way Aircraft, Inc. The letter of intent is non-binding and is subject to various conditions including the execution of a definitive merger agreement. Accordingly, there is no assurance that the merger will be consummated on favorable terms or at all.

Guess drug money can really multiply itself in today's world...
