32. It's time to end the cycle of buying the presidency
Edited on Sat Sep-22-07 10:27 AM by notsodumbhillbilly
In order for the people to have a voice in government, we must end the cycle of buying the presidency. For decades, money has determined who will become the presidential nominees for each party, so we shouldn’t be surprised that, once elected, the president gives precedence to those who bought and paid for him over the people who voted for him. It’s time to put a stop to this system.

Vote in your best interest! Ignore the DLCers who tell you Kucinich is not electable. This is nothing more than an attempt to discourage people from voting for him. Better to ignore them altogether with their tactic of using condescension and insults intended to make progressives feel guilty for standing for integrity. We’ve all seen the talking points: “if you vote for (blank), you’re voting for a republican”, “circular firing squad”, “eating our own”, "lesser of two evils", etc.

Election 2008 is the time for us to take back our country. Take it away from the corporatists and warmongers who have perpetuated the current system of buying the presidency.
