McConnell claimed on the Senate floor that all previous Iraq votes have required a 60 vote threshold. Durbin called him on it, citing numerous Iraq War bills which were voted on with a 50 vote threshold. What Durbin said, repeatedly, was that "The statement by the Senator from Kentucky is flatly incorrect." That, my friends, in Senate-speak, is as close as it gets to stating that Mitch McConnell is one lying mother-fucker.
