136. Just for some ideas for after xmas shopping and missing the entire xmas shopping madness
Edited on Sat Nov-29-08 03:09 PM by ooglymoogly
I spent the day getting my herd of bobbing reindeer ready for the yard and never left the house. 4 stags and 8 deer which I purchased after xmas last year for 10 cents on the dollar (I know back to the future) Am taking the standard xmas tree lights off and putting LED lights that take almost no electricity which I also purchased after xmas last year at 50-75% off; I bought all they had at many different drugstores, target, walmart and others; Everywhere they sell xmastree goodies. All in all I spent comparatively nothing and got everything I wanted for this xmas. Just some ideas for next xmas. As most of you already know, you have to wait a bit after xmas to get these kinds of deals. But for those of you who only see lights across the Bering Straits in Russia; They start off at 10-25% and every week or so they go down more until they are just happy someone is carting them out the door. The red and blue spectrums LED's are especially good for your house plants which is the real reason I went after the LED's last year. I have a veritable forest of orange, lemon and banana trees and other tropical and sub tropicals that I have to bring in the house in the winter making my house look pleasantly bizarre. The lemons and orange blossoms are wonderful whenever they bloom and under the led's that is often. So if you cant stand the xmas madness but love the dazzle and sparkle of xmas and happy everaftering while afterxmasing like me; stay cozy by the fireplace for this xmas; But then I am happy to be an old recluse; This of course will only somewhat work for many, especially those with big families and of many of you already know of this windfall. The only real info here is the LED's, but hey, it's the xmas season.
