4. How many different kinds of wrong can you be at once?
The quote is wonderful because it sums up so much about the worst values of the Republicans in one fell swoop.

"in the old days" - Ihe old days were better, and progress is wrong
"you won a war" - War have clear winners, and the cost to the "winning" society is irrelevant
"to the victor" - There can be only one winner. Alliances are made to be betrayed.
"go the spoils" - Wealth is not to be conserved or sustained. It is to be consumed or spoiled.
"all those rebels" - Authority is good. Rebels are bad.
"richer than the people of this country" - A high standard of living isn't important, being superior to another is important
"they're going to take all the oil" - Anyone, given a resource, will of course exploit it as fast as possible.
