16. Time will tell, but I honestly believe television "news" dysfunction
is systemic to it's current structure, it's all just a matter of degree. The underlying and unstated message of the traditional corporate media structure is corporate supremacy over that of the American People and it makes no difference which network a journalist is working for. They're paychecks are dependent on keeping the boss happy and that boss's paycheck is dependent on keeping the owner and/or corporate commercial buying clients happy, the American People's best interests are at best third and when we have an autocratic government in power ie: Cheney/Bush, the people's best interests drops to fourth.

I believe over the long haul this kind of situation is carcinogenic to our democratic republic.
