First, here is an article from the New york Times. You have to read this one carefully, though. The headline, and most of the article, gives the impression that Bush legitimately won Florida. Actually, what it says is that, if the proposed *limited* recounts at the time had proceeded to their conclusion, Bush would have won anyway. HOWEVER... if you read further, you'll see that if *all* Florida votes had been recounted (which no one at the time was proposing, because of how long it would have taken), Gore would actually have won.
