Sadly, in spite of the tragedy and catastrophe of the BP-Deepwater Horizon blowout, what Bachmann advocates for is what is going to happen.

Too many Americans are purposefully ignorant of Peak Oil, stubbornly and arrogantly opposed to the concept of global warming, and/or are content to play a kind of dilettante-style of environmentalism ("I've done my part -- I recycle!").

We aren't going to learn what we should learn from what is happening in the Gulf. By next year (maybe even by this November), Pres. Obama will be fine with off-shore drilling again and Americans will be demanding cheap fuel for their boats, ATVs, RVs and Dodge Rams.

I wish I was wrong, but I'm sure I'm not.
