20. Yes, but . . .
You are correct. The labor union movement, so important to America as we know it, is just not in the forefront of the minds of most progressives any more. They have forgotten that things like minimum wage, unemployment insurance, social security, pensions, workers' comp, sick days, overtime, etc. we owe to the union movement.

And, oh yeah, pretty much no Dem would be elected without the free labor provided by union members.

However, wouldn't this rant be more effective if posted in GD or some other forum? I mean, if your complaint is that not enough DUers come here, how will they ever get a chance to consider your point?
