Family sounds familiar, but the American vets only go back to WWI. With Scottish blood, I suspect we have been bloodthirsty barbarians much longer. Father was a Republican until he died and I believe my brother would consider himself a "lapsed" Republican.

Was a Republican and voted for Reagan the first time. After he broke the Air Traffic Control Union, I went independent/Libertarian.

Shrub finally pushed me over the edge into the Progressives when he invaded Iraq without finishing Afghanistan. He cemented the change when he started to destroy our civil liberties. If he isn't trying to create a fascist state, it sure looks like he is.
