15. I think it's quite the opposite
the whole point was that he doesn't care about his image (because he's not running for president) and that's why he wasn't speaking. The only reason he's speaking is because of the outcry and white house pressure. As for not caring about his friend...I don't think he's a good VP, but I also don't think that he's an evil man that just shoots his friends IN THE FACE and doesn't think twice about
