Not a chickenhawk was squaking not even Bill Bennett

The indictments were hung by the chimney for display
Waiting for Tom, Cunningham, Abramoff, Foley, Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney, Scanlon, Burns, Dolittle, Christine, Frist, Jefferson, and Ney!

The Republicans were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of young pages dance in their heads

And Nancy in her kerchief, and I in my cap
Removing the survellience and illegal wiretaps

When out on the house floor, the noise it began
It was just Silly Sekula yapping on C-Span

Away to the window I flew in a hunch
Tore open the shutters and threw up my lunch

When, what to my wondering eyes should I see
But a miniature DeLay, a mini-me!

Dennis Hassert so lively and plump
Nancy threw him out, right on his rump

More rapid than possums the republicans they came,
And she whistled, and shouted and called them by name!

Now, DeLay, Now Cunningham, Now Ney and Foley!
Out Rumsfeld, Out Rove, Out and Shelley

To the top of capitol hill and over the wall.
Now run away, run away, run away you all!

We’re tired of your lies, and your bag full of tricks
So I’m bringing in Casey, and Obama, and Nick!

With a wink of her eye and twist of her head,
Soon gave me to know Bush had everything to dread

He spoke not a word, and begged for teamwork
While fumbling his speech and smirking like a jerk

While Nancy sprang to her sleigh, to her team gave a whistle,
And away they rushed to impeachment fast as a missile.

She called for hearings on the war in Iraq
To work together and bring our kids back

To fight for the rich and the poor alike
To lower the debt while money is tight

And to create jobs and opportunity for all
While respecting our neighbors without building a wall

And with that glimmer of hope, as she road out of sight
I heard her say, with the moon so bright

Sleep soundly to you all, without any fear
For the Democrats have won. The Democrats are here!
