to be out of the country from Thursday thru Saturday. He cancelled the speech he was set to give in Ireland today at a very prestigious gathering.
Those who claim it's opportunism are full of crap - Kerry gave all the room and encouragement to filibuster to any other senator, expecting it to be one of the Judiciary Committee members, and none would do it except Kennedy who took a media beating throughout the hearings.
