I'm sorry, but i just don't get that sentiment. Your remark that he "got $10 million/yr not for reporting news, or informing an electorate, or serving the 'public', or anything like that..."

I find offensive if not deliberately inaccurate. How is it that he didn't "Inform the Electorate"?

Look...the best news person in this country might very well be Amy Goodman but unfortunately, in spite of her point of view and her abilities, she looks like crap on TV and sounds almost as bad (flame suit on) with her monotone delivery.

Whether or not you liked him, it is hard to deny that Peter Jennings, like Keith Olbermann, was good at his job.

The fact that he made good money doing it and left an estate as a testimony is beside the point.
