5. Utterly charming LTTE from the "Sock Puppet"
All right, I admit it: I was hoping to scare up the address and phone, not that I would've posted it, you understand -- but I did run across this little gem:

Although your paper is, obviously, extremely liberal, as exemplified by the extreme leftist letters you customarily publish, I trust you will, out of a sense of fair and balanced journalism, consider printing the following. We appreciate your consideration but, naturally, I probably have the same chance of a snowball surviving in Hell!
I, and several associates, are very much involved with the recruitment of potential first-time voters into the Republican Party and, consequently, meet with college "kids," "oldies," and everyone in between age-wise. We speak with independents, moderates and all degrees of wannabe leftists and rightists, and so I (we) get a diverse range of views and opinions.
We have found, almost without exception, that the negativity and pessimism shown by the Left turns many off while the optimism and positive attitudes of the Right appeals to their personal anticipation of the future. They look at a glass as half full, not half empty, because they opt for rose-colored glasses, the reading kind, over blinders and sunglasses. The liberal media and Washington D.C. insiders don't "make it" with the people we talk with as they disassociate themselves from the fantasy world of politics.
Conservatism is winning the war, as seen in elections at all levels local, state, and federal as you see states such as Minnesota and Wisconsin, previously guarantees for the Democrats' column, with each passing election coming closer to being red in color.
Our Allen/Condi ticket in 2008, my guess, will defeat the Hillary/anyone ticket because independents, moderates, Reagan Democrats (and blacks) will vote in decisive numbers for the Right. We'll also raise extraordinary amounts of money and easily offset Howard Dean's plans, and what a wonderful appointment that was for our side.

"Sock" Sokolowski

Allen/Condi?! I can hear it now: "I'm going to let Vice President Macaca answer that..."

Sock, if you're lurking, get some help. Now. Actually, if the authorities do their job and follow up on the threat to Stephanie, it may already be too late.
