and we are also in no defecit of eyebrow raising circumstances nor is there a shortage of concerning situations in this nation or this world or in what this nation does to this world and vice versa.

eyebrow raising and concerning situations in terms of prisons in the US? One camp that holds 10000 people? That's any Tuesday in America - not some mythical Blade Runnerian future - we're already the number one jailer in the world. It's already big business, it's already a republican and racist conspiracy. Historical inertia, stemming mainly from greed, is more powerful than any other force here or anywhere.
