Make sure you get that sing-song cadence in there when you say it--ok?

Sorry, but this has become a huge problem here locally and it will ultimately end up undoing several years worth of strategy and hard work when the "real" Democrats are no longer in control of our county.

You work the ticket once the Primary is over--PERIOD. That is how partisan politics works (or doesn't in the case of my local party.) We had a very ugly primary race that the local intelligentsia lost. Here we are, months after that primary, and they are still taking aim on the two Dems that won.

I am fed up with it and had a screaming match with the Vice Chair of the local party just a while back. His observation was that they just weren't "good enough" or (better yet!) "REAL" Democrats. The Dem Party Chair and his cadre of idjits (epitomized by that Vice Chair I was chewing on recently) are fixing to screw the entire party because they refuse to suck it up and work the ticket.

Meanwhile, the "local Dem party" has turned its back on Labor in this county. Oddly enough, the two Dems who won that primary are some of the only ones that local Labor supports/supported. Makes for a most ugly election cycle with the local Dem party coming up without any large contributions from Labor.

You ask how I deal with it? I just stay the hell away from party functions and work the candidates. I'm working hell out of the Dems that I feel ok about and trying not to wince when I read the LTE's from Dems bashing other Dems. I'm also working over in the neighboring county to help out the party over there.

I am a Democrat and I am not going to cede it all to the assholes and idiots That is the best I can do right now.

Regards.

Laura
