i only rarely eat hot dogs, but the rest of the family does. a good kosher dog has a lot less "by-products". i don't know the ins and outs exactly, but i do know that they do not put a lot of that crap in their dogs.
i have a great kosher deli just down the block from me, they smoke their own turkeys and make their own dogs. i shop there a lot. even though i sometimes get the eye, because i am so very goy.
