It's associating us with some nasty characters. Two recent examples: The Pentagon's announcement today that it will sell $5 Bln of F-16's to the nuclear-armed dictator-run Pakistan (who may one day nuke India, the world's largest democracy, with them) and our "top shelf" military hardware being used by the Israeli Defense Forces to commit Crimes Against Humanity, collectively punishing at least 100,000 innocent Palestinians who are now without electricity for hospitals or water to drink in the summer heat.

We can't afford it anymore. We're borrowing money from other countries, sometimes the Chinese for Pete's sake, to give to other countries who buy our armaments and then do with them what they damned well please, associating us with whatever idiotic move their military wishes to make.

Those monies would be put to better use putting American kids through college or helping to bring healthcare to those who cannot afford it.
