114. I didn't hear the fighter jets.
I'm near Dulles. I normally hear the sounds of the passenger jets as they prepare to take off. The night was unnaturally quiet without those sounds.
The stacked planes normally form "the constellation of Dulles". Those stars did not shine that night nor the following two nights.

A friend who works the gates still had to report for work, even though there were no flights. One of the passengers on one of those non-flights refused to open his briefcase for inspection before boarding the plane. Her super let the man go anyway. Friend suspected the briefcase was full of US currency the man was taking back to Saudi on the non-flight.
