It's possible someone swiped the domain if the alabama dfa didn't have their transfer locked. It's possible if you don't check your emails and you don't lock your domains.

According to the whois for alademocracy.org, it's now hosted on a DNS server in Egypt (NS1.ALEXSRV36.COM NS2.ALEXSRV36.COM) and the Adminstrative/Technical contact has an email [email protected]. However, according to whois, 2webhost is hosted on the name servers dns7.2mhost.com and dns8.2mhost.com.

Could be 2mhost is outsourcing servers in Egypt or that 2mhost is reselling hosting from Egypt...

It's a mystery :(
