29. He can keep Senator Barrasshole company.
Just what is it with physicians turned politicians? They seem a singularly heartless bunch. One can only hope that it's a natural way of weeding out the misanthropes from the menschen.

Anyway, here's the quote from Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) at the White House summit on health care. And bear in mind that Barrasshole is a doctor.

And, Mr. President, when you say, with catastrophic plans, they don't go for care until later, I say sometimes the people with catastrophic plans are the people that are best consumers of health care, in using -- the way they use their health care dollars.

Because a lot of people come in and say, you know, my knee hurts; maybe I should get an MRI. They say -- and then they say, "Will my insurance cover it?" That's the first question.

And if I say yes, then they say, "OK, let's do it." If I say no, then they say, "Well, what is it going to cost?"

And "What's it cost?" ought to be the first question.

Oh, yeah, Doc, we'd all just love to take a wait-and-see approach a child shows symptoms of meningitis, or maybe shop around for a sweet deal on a cardiologist when the old ticker acts up. :sarcasm:

He and Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK, another physician!) are a pair. I mean that literally; they teamed up to attack so-called Obamacare. :eyes: Pair of Hippocratic oafs.
