Newton Emerson is a pig

Newton Emerson wrote an article called "Working women almost certainly caused the credit crunch," published in the Irish Times. He wants to blame working women for the real estate bubble and the current credit crunch.
I wonder if he was separated at birth from Pig Limbaugh.
Anyone know anything about him? Anyone in Ireland care to write a response?
