60. That was a fun race, wasn't it?

No wonder it got so much national attention. It was just about the only one where Democrats all over the country could just point and laugh.

Sadly, there are a couple of Keyes signs on my block right here in Chicago. Yes, I said ARE--they're still up! All on one apartment, plastering the windows; the people can't see out. I imagine they wouldn't want to. They might see two men holding hands and that would ruin their appetites for a whole week.

You know Keyes has a lesbian daughter, right? The poor girl. She tried to keep a blog under a pseud but was found out....she wants to be out and proud, but she also loves her dad and doesn't know what to do. She got a lot of messages of support, and the press wouldn't even touch it; she's only 19 and so many people felt bad for her.

Why am I even talking about him on this thread? SO not hot. Downright anti-hot. Oh yeah, because of Mr. "Blizzard of Panties" Obama. Actually, my pet theory about Keyes is that he's got the same problems as your typical obsessive froths-way-too-loud homophobe: he kept having Nasty Distracting Thoughts about his opponent, and that was just like gasoline on his hostility.
