I was at the store today in America and saw the disproportionate numbers of extended Americans and hence, my rant. I don't even intend to put them down or be condescending as I see them as victims.

So, yes, I was OT when it comes to STDs and weight. However, I think the influence of Western corporations and the so-called food they manufacture is affects more than the US, even though Europeans tend to be far more enlightened then we are about the issue.

Maybe it is not so much about cultures and commodities as it is about the rampant, unmitigated effects of complexity and profit as influences on diet in general?
